3 Things We Learned from Week 3 of the NFL Season

  • If we learned ANYTHING about Week 3, it’s that we know NOTHING. Teams like the Colts and Browns went into a virtually impossible winning scenario and came out on top.
  • I called it, Josh Freeman is out as Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB. He is the laziest ball thrower these eyes have ever seen. Let the Mike Glennon era begin…
  • The NFC East is in trouble. All four teams head to the west coast (and KC) this week – Even if Dallas loses at San Diego they’ll still be atop the division at 2-2. Philly goes to Denver, they’ll be 1-3. The G-Men go to KC where they could very well be 0-4, and Washington heads to Oakland where their first win is at stake. Bubba Sparxxx time…. que the music.

  • It’s no secret that the Bears have the most opportunistic defense in the league. But incredibly, HC Marc Trestman has Jay Cutler protecting the ball and the O-Line keeping Cutler upright. If they can keep this up, Chicago will be going places.
  • Yes, Denver put a whoopin’ on Oakland. But what I took away from that game was that despite getting no help from his teammates, Terrelle Pryor played with poise, accuracy, athleticism, and smarts. He still needs some grooming, but Oakland may have found their franchise QB in Al Davis’ final draft pick.
  • The 49ers were thoroughly beat down the last two weeks, making Thursday’s game against the Rams a must-win. In two tries, San Fran couldn’t beat St. Louis last season so there’s reason for concern. But the 49ers are clearly the better team. If they don’t win Thursday, their season is seriously in jeopardy.

  • Don’t look now, but the New York Jets are on pace for 10 wins this season. They won’t get ’em though…
  • You don’t need Von Miller when your offense is putting up 40 plus points a game. Peyton Manning maybe be solidifying his spot as best ever.
  • The Seahawks look like the clear cut number one team in the NFC West. San Francisco has work to do.

  • Peyton Manning will be the MVP when the season is over. No one will come close to his stats come season’s end.
  • The New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers have showed huge interest in taking JeDeveon Clowney in May’s NFL draft.
  • I’m sure a lot of people in the country doing every suicide pool that exists had a lot of people eliminated taking the Vikings since Trent Richardson got traded and Weeden was hurt to play. Well played Cleveland….well played!
